On June 18, 2017, the Kabaka of Buganda Ronald Muwenda Mutebi graced the Buganda Royal Art Shield Festival (BrashFEST) a performing arts competition for primary and secondary schools in Buganda. The Kabaka encouraged parents to support their children in developing their talents, which is fundamental in shaping the future of each child.

On the same occasion, the Kabaka also urged Buganda Land Board (BLB) officials to do a better job of educating affected people about kingdom policies before implementing them.

The ceremony took place at Saint Beatrice Secondary School, Kyankwanzi in Ssingo County. Saint Lawrence Secondary School, Ssonde of Kyaggwe County emerged the overall winners among secondary schools. And Saint Paul Mugwanya Primary School of Buddu Country won the primary school competitions.
